Default Eyes

I have eye issues. Carving eyes, that is. Especially in the flat plane style. In another thread I mentioned how much I liked the way Hyung Jon did the eyes on his Santa, and how much I admired C.J. Trygg's Hobo's eyes. Axel Petersson was no slouch at eyes either. Gene, I've seen the way you do eyes on your video, but you also mentioned a time or two that you have another way of doing them. I don't think I've seen those.

I've tried doing eyes the way Harley Refsal did them in his video, and they turned out better than I thought they would. But I want to be able to do a variety of styles. I've adapted Gene's triangle method to my own hand, and you'll be able to see the results of that sometime this weekend.

OK, after all that rambling, what I'm looking for is some advice for doing eyes in different ways. What can you tell me?

Bob

Have you seen the eye tutorial Mike Bloomquist did in the tutorial section here?

Is it still there? I looked and didn't find it. Even searched for Bloomquist without success.
