Default Egg heads

I have been carving some egg heads. I began trying some Harold Enlow and Pete LeClair patterns. Then I watched Genes utube video on how to carve faces. The main thing I learned from Gene was to be agressive with the cuts as you can see from the Photos.
The first photo is my attempt at a Harlold Enlow woman and a Gene Messer flat plane face which I think could be a woman's face. I was much more aggressive with the cuts on the flat plane face and I like it much better. The other two photo are different versions (male) of the flat plane face.
The 3 flat planes by the way are all on one egg--a 3 in one and i like them so well I will give them to my brother in law for his birthday
Thank You Gene!

Neat idea. Do you have special ways of holding the egg or is it not a problem to hold it in your hand as you carve?

Larry, I hold it in my hand and wear a glove and thumb guard I have pretty small hands so it is no problem for me to hold.
