Default Delmer

This is my attampt at Mike Shipley's Delmer from his book "Woodcarving Country Folk". He stands 10 inches tall, which is huge for me since I usually carve 1x1x4 or smaller. I started him a few months back, but quit cause I couldn't figure out how to get clean cuts seperating the arms from the body. I had some problems with the paint on the face and had to carve the paint off. I learned alot with this one, so I'm glad I decided to finish him up.

Thanks for looking
Eric

He looks good Eric. If you hadn't told us about your problems with him we would never have known. Sometimes the ones we have problems with are the ones we learn the most from.

Eric,
Looks really good. I agree with JoeV. It seems to be the ones we struggle with are the ones that teach us the most.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Nice job Eric. I learned a lot about carving from Mike's Country Folk and Country Bear's books.
