Default the carver,for a carver,by a carver

This is my first post.have been carving on and off this last year watching gene's vidoes on you tube.i really want to thank gene messer for teaching me so much on you tube and on woodcarving illustrated.i love the flat plane style of carving and my uncle seen some of my work and wanted to get into it also.he just started after christmas so i made this for him as a gift.this is my version of one of gene's carvings.il start posting more as i do them and some of my other carvings i have done.thank you again gene,you are an inspiration to us all.
