Default I am in Wisconsin taking from Harley Refsal

I just completed day 2 of my 3 day class with Harley Refsal.
Harley is everything he is reputed to be as an instructor, and a terrific man. Very patient.

The class is in Wisconsin at the studio of Else Bigton and Phillip Odden
their web site is: Norsk Wood Works -- Norwegian Wood Carvers and Carving Woods

I will be in their class for the week learning more about acanthus leaf carving.

I am almost speachless.....it's that much fun.
Christina

Hi Christina,
Glad you're enjoying your classes. When you start headin' back to Georgia you'll be very close to my little piece of paradise here in northern Indiana and are more than welcome to stop by for a visit, it would be great to meet you in person. Have fun this week!
Dan

Dan, as much as I would like to stop in, I don't think I can convine the pilot to do that. I'm flying. I was just in Indiana last week! I wish you could have come to the Chazfest....it was a blast!

Yes, I am lucky to be here, and this is wonderful...fall temps, and colors changing....saw a young buck, a flock of turkeys and a bald eagle on the way to the farm this morning where the classes are being held. The folks are great...hospitable...the food is good and I really feel comfortable and am learning gobs.
Harley's class ended today. I cannot load pics from here, but I did complete two simple flat plane characters. I really did learn a lot.
Tomorrow begins the acanthus leaf carving classes....I am stoked, awed and anxious.

Lucky you! Is Harley providing lutefisk, or lefse with the coffee? Wish I could swing one of his classes.
