Default 5 Minute Amputation

It had to happen.
When I first saw this novel knife protector from someone elses imagination I just knew I would make one eventually.
Fussing with the blade hole took some thinking but I got there eventually.
That's my fun for the week I guess, back to the blinking plumbing job.

Nice job, Rob, but it took you 5 minutes to amputate it? You apparently need to sharpen that knife.

Oh my goodness Ed. I nearly fell of my chair laughing when I read your post.
My knives are all very sharp as they should be. Just like Gene's they look like they are cutting marshmallow's. So I guess - - - The amputation took but the blink of an eye and the remainder of the five minutes was spent stopping the bleeding and taking the photos (painting excluded).

Oh yeah, I forgot about the time it would take to stop the bleeding. As I type I have a bandage on my left thumb from a minor slip of the knife two days ago. Even when the knife is razor sharp and slice through the wood like a hot knife through melted butter, you gotta watch the digits. I wish I had watched a bit closer. Oh well, no stitches and the thumb is still attached.
