But getting it there and paying commission for someone else to sell it for me would eat up that increase and I'd net about the same...so why bother, especially as I'm having trouble keeping up with orders as it is.

Thanks for the info. I guess that I will just have to test the waters and see good luck with keeping up.

Stick pricing is a varient of conditions. First off, not many people in this economy, have a few hundred to spend on a walking staff. I have short walkers (palm walkers) that start at $60.00. I try and create at least a few VERY high end staffs that go for $200.00 to $500.00 each year.

Basically, the more detail, the more money...... Most of my high end carvings are commissions with the purchacer dictating theme ect.

Thats a good story Dennis and real nice carvings too. I was going to suggest carrying a stick in each hand, but then there wouldn't be a bidding war. Keep carvin

One of them bought it right out of my hand. The other gentleman ordered his own Eagle stick. This one is his.

This happens often on park trails and whenever I'm out walking. Anyway, I'm off to deliver this one along with a few Santas', a Fairy-Door and a few other Christmas orders. Got my Christmas list done early this year (a first).

So the moral of the story is;
Walk your sticks and cary a lot of cards. Sold over 20 this year out walking.
Very nice I am very impressed
