Default Tulip Poplar Canes

I just finished these since I've been back from the cabin. Both are yellow poplar, oil stained, with a Minwax oil based polyurethane finish. The handles are Gorilla glued and screwed with 2-1/2" deck screws. I haven't had one fail yet. (Knock on wood!!!)

Nice. I really like the way you did the nose on the 'left' one, the one in the third picture.

Hey Eddy,
That's a couple of nice canes, real conversation starters too. Thanks for letting us see them.
Regards
John

Thanks Dave... I have a hard time with noses.......mouths.......eyes......ears...... Heck! Just about everything! I keep Skylar Johnson's copy of "How to Carve A Woodspirit In A Hiking Stick" right beside me when I'm working on a cane. If I could follow directions they'd all come out looking like Johnson's but I always lose something in the translation! Oh well! That's uniqueness!
