Default A Quick "Green" Greenman

This is a quick carving I thought I would try on a Sumac? stick. As you can see, I didn't spend much time cleaning up the leaves and my lack of painting skills is quite apparent. It would be nice if I had a better selection of colors, too, but painting my carvings is just not my thing.

Thank you for viewing and any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, wDonkey and Randy. I usually spend a lot of time sanding and finishing my sticks but I just wanted this one done.

Hi Ron,
Good job on the "Greenman"! Understand about "just wanted this one done", happens to me all the time, in fact have one on my bench right now, loss of interest I guess.

Great start Ron, only suggestion is my broken record suggestion to these, "Go deeper"
You have plenty of room to make your eye sockets deeper and nose 'taller'. Start with a 'corner' and then cut in 3rds.
Waitpinga Whittler had a great post a while back that talks about this.
