Mighty handsome cane. Wouldn't fancy getting whacked with a piece of Maple.

Very nice. Good design and finish is pretty snazzy. Has almost an armor-like look. Very elegant!

Fantastic finish. You have some beautiful timbers. I reckon it would make a good war club in any society.

That's one heck of a cane, very nice. I bet you have the finish procedure written down, I know I would have tobecause I would never remember it. Thanks for showing. Merle

Thank you all for the kind words!
All (ok, almost all) of my canes have that potential to be pressed into service, in a 'martial' situation, as a weapon. A cane/stick is about the only item that can be used for defense that is legal anymore to carry. It's only a 'weapon', legally, if used as one, but the balance and woods and grain, etc... are all in support of such a contingency should one arise.
Throughout history, our most elegant and decorative products have been our weaponry. Many of my canes exhibit much South Seas 'club' influences, but just dialed back to be a 'cane'.
This one made itself! I was just the 'conduit'.
After a few more diluted BLO coats I might try out my new 'Briwax' and see how that works.
Thanx again for the kindnesses.

Nah, it was a new type (for me) of finish and, if 'repeated', will be 'tweaked' a bit here and there. Nothing is ever exactly repeated, as you know. Always 'improving' this or that feature. Besides, if not my head, my hands remember...
Thanx.
