Welcome to the forum Rod,
just loved your introduction, now we are all anxiously awaiting your encore <grin>
Great carving and nicely finished. I also suggest investing in some quality tools, not a lot initially, a couple of small gouges, a small vee tool and a good carving knife is enough to get you going. You will know more of what you need as your carving advances.....oops! nearly forgot to mention a good kevlar glove for your "Holding" hand. Thanks for sharing a really fine carving with us.
