Default Lucky Me !!

As some of you are on another Stickmaking Forum you may have already read this, but I am normally at the end of the queue when Luck is dished out!
Today I heard of a bloke having a Shed clear out of Timber, so popped round to see what was going begging.
Well I got a lovely Coffee Table! lol, then we sorted out Cherry, Mahogany, Yew to name a few and then I saw he had about 30 or more Stick Shanks, Twisties, Thumbsticks, KnobSticks etc, A mixture of Hazel, Ash, Cherry, Holly, Hawthorn and Blackthorn!
He then said I could have them for nothing as he wasnt making sticks anymore!
I had thought I would be making Handles for near two years as my own harvested sticks season, but now I can get stuck in as soon as my 'Glory Hole' of a Workshops up and running!
Anyway, still unpacking and sorting the new home first, got to keep my Missus sweet! lol
take care all
Simon

Well Simon, I guess that makes up for all those times you were hanging out at the end of the queue waiting for you fair share. And of course you felt so badly that this fellow was simply giving away all of this treasure you paid him a handsome price anyway?

Now you have no excuses for not making more sticks -

Ron

Hi Simon, is just a matter of time. If you wait long enough, you are bound to reach the front of the line and obviously, you have done just that. Good luck with getting your house in order. Looking forward to seeing your finished sticks.
