Ron, that's quite an idea.....maybe a guardian angel with a sword and/or shield? Strength in the wings could pose a problem, but perhaps they could be carved in a more "wrapped around" style to reduce weak spots?.....Please let us see if you decide to try the idea.

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply. When I first began carving, I wanted to do an angel cane but had the same problems with what to do with the wings. The problem's still there but as you said, maybe there's a solution by wr5apping them aqround. I'll give it some thougtht.
