They 'cost' a lot of blisters! People ask how long one takes and I tell em about 40 blisters, or 10, or whatever... Time doesn't exist in 'that' place, and "how long did it take?" is my least favorite question, and I still haven't come up with a witty response, heh..
Many of the sticks are well aged hickory RR pickaxe handles! Hard and tough! Ouch, but... small price to pay I guess.

To me it looks like you have a great beginning for a gators mouth on the top of that cane.

yeah thanks will have to take a look at what can be done with it when it finishes drying out. I'm not very talented at carving like some of you so I just might shape the handle something basic and comfortable.
