Default Garagoyle cane

I posted this on the general postings and didn't know how to move it to here, so I thought I would post it again (here). Like I said on the other posting , it is the hardest wood I ever carved. I is a really hard type of mahogany. I asked a friend for a peice of mahogany and this is what he gave me. I was murder on my knives , but I got it done and am happy with the results.

Thumbs up Re: Garagoyle cane

Wow! That's a nice job. Can't say I'm a big fan of gargoyles, but that really is a nice job and should last the recipient a long time. Thanks for giving us a look.

Very nice job and great looking stick.I can sure appreciate the efforts of anyone who works with hard woods.Robbed a wedged piece of oak firewood from my sisters pile thinking I might be able to do something with it.Pick it up and sand on it when I need a break from what I'm working on.Been many years since I tried to sand any oak and I think I'm seeing why.
