Default A few more

Here are a few more efforts from the last couple of months.
This one has 2 woodspirits on the top of a long sweetgum




I don't even know what kind of wood this one is. Heavy, dense, had been on the shop floor several weeks. When I peeled the bark back it was still moist, and carved wonderful, for about 3 hours then it got hard as rock!


Then another sweet gum, not finished, only has first coat of a natural stain on it.


I still have problems with the eyes, one day will get there though.

Sorry I been away awhile. Work, hurricane season preparation. But still carving. Here are the finished pics of the one with 2 faces after it was fully cured and finished.




Finally got brave enough to try hard wood, oak, hickory.
more of those as they are finished

You did a great job on the woodspirits i like the stick with the two faces on it .As far as the eyes go it takes a lot of pratice to get them wright but you getting there.
