here are some pics of a stick made by Ian James (featured in "stickmaking a complete course" by A. Jones & C.George). we both belong to the same stick making club. whether he carves birds or animals all of his sticks are incredible. he's also a great tutor and always gives advice freely when asked. hope you enjoy.

thanks guys, as i said, Ian is a very gifted stick maker and a great tutor. my "attempt" double headed Mallard stick falls way short but i really enjoyed the process and always like trying different ideas.
