Really nice, and after painting in the bathroom for 2 hours I could use that right about now.

Hi JJ,
Lovely stick as usual, but I'm curious about the 'flatness' of the handle design. What was your thinking behind that? Also, how did you do the joint between handle and shaft with so little wood to work with?

Thanks Patrick, Ron, and WW, I have a board of 1/2'' curly, I cut the crook out flat and began to round it from the edges. I was going to go full round, but I really liked how the handle felt with flat sides, it seemed to flow better. The shaft is about 3/4'' and I took the sides down on a slope to blend it into the shaft. It is attached with a threaded rod and the little black dot is a walnut 'pin' securing that rod. It's strong enough to wrangle a goat. Total length is about 4.5' so the hand actually rests comfortably in the just below the joint. I really hated to give it away, a very comfortable stick Hope that answers your question.
