Default A couple (more) unusual canes...

Carved from aged hickory railroad pickaxe handles with specially selected grain for toughness, and stability. Fire blackened, to highlight the carving with the lighter wood in the recesses. The lower part of the zigzag (the zags) on the turquoise handled cane was pyrographed with a soldering iron tip, the 'zigs' were carved. Silver coins in and on-layed. Turquoise mosaic inlay. Steel ferules, and hardened steel bolts where the rubber meets the road!

Sorry, I got carried away. The dragon head was carved in manzanita with silver collar and fire-blackened hickory shaft and brass and steel ferule.
Everything gets burnished and polished and linseed oiled a few times.
Thanx for the indulgence.
