Default Carving Ivy in a Walking Stick

I would like to carve an ivy vine in a walking stick for my better half. A wood spirit is too masculine for her. Does anyone know if there are any books on the subject or a website that might present some ideas? I've Googled the subject and can't find anything.

Hi cblue,

I would google ivy or better yet, take your camera and look for real ivy. Take all the pictures you want and use them for your pattern.

I made a cane for my step-mother and Googled a rose. I was going to carve it but ended up woodburning it on. The stem ran up the shaft of the cane with the bud at the head.
