I just ordered these books online what do you all think about them for stick carving and just carving faces in general? ![]() Carving the Human Face: Capturing ... - Google Books and then this one that someone on here recommended to me http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg So did I get the right books? |

You did good! Espically with the Phares book. You might want to chewck out my videos on Youtube. I have a series of them about face carving, using a Santa ornament. I personally like Tom Wolf's books on Wood Spirits and walking canes. Have used a number of his books and find them great. Facecarver |

Both are very good books... nice choices and great references you will continue to go back to again and again.
