Default Carved Snake Walking Stick (Snake Glows In DarK)

I just finished three Carved Snake Walking Sticks. Each walking stick was made from a vine twisted stick. Once the snake was carved onto the walking stick, I coated the snake with a mixture to make the snake glow a bright green in the dark.

Please visit the following link to look at the pictures of this and other Carved Snake Walking Sticks. Carved Snake Slide Show

I would appreciate any comments concerning your thoughts about the glow in the dark snake idea.

Thanks,

Randy

Nice work that glow in the dark is awsome but I don't think there are any snakes that glow.

I like the idea of glow in the dark snakes! I have wondered about the glow in the dark wood, thanks for the link. One night we came home and noticed our pile of half rotted tan oak fire wood was covered with glow in the dark spots. The kids and my husband and I were so amazed. We figured it was from the rot on it. We sat in the car for along time and tripped on it. We never knew there was a name for it. Thanks and go for the glow snakes.

What did you use to get the sticks to glow? You aren't going to put a wood eating fungus on the stick?

I think you did a great job on the snakes, the glow factor for me is just ok, purely personal preferrence. I think if you had just left it with the snakes they would have been perfect (purist )
Good idea though, hope it does well for you.
