Default canes to see

Well I now have a couple pics of my latest Two canes I would like to show everyone.Coments always welcome good or bad ThanksShaft on Ram is poplar hope it is strong enough.

Grdeno.... The poplar should be fine. I've been carving woodspirit canes out of it for years with no failures except one poor joint betrween the staff and handle. Who does the turning on the staff? It looks professional?

Thanks the one with the Eagle is Maple and Walnut the Ram shaft is Poplar Both the Heads are out of Baswood

Thanks for the coments I am the one who turns the shafts just a cheap lathe but it works just fine. I think the finish helps I use true oil gunstock finish,put it on with my finger the weather won't bother it either

I've seldom seen any one mention using Tru Oil for a finish. I use it often and it will withstand the worst of conditions. Thanks for mentioning it!
