| | We had us a mini Rendezvous Colin and I got invited out to my friend ST's place, where he cleared some brush away from some great cedars along the road at his place and we carved us some tree spirits. They really wanted to get out of the wood because after about 2 hours Colin and I had ours looking out at the passing cars and talking to people stopping by to chat. St had to finish after lunch, but it was his 1st with his new Redmax. St was back down there today putting a coat of stain on them. Maybe Colin will submit some more pics when he gets his PC back on line.

| | Re: We had us a mini Rendezvous Oh boy that looks like fun! Wonderful woodspirits and I know many people will enjoy them by the roadside. How did he like the Redmax. That is the next saw I want to get.

| | Re: We had us a mini Rendezvous After 2 tanks of gas thru the Redmax he thinks it is alright. All 3 carvings were done with 3200's. What you see are 3 happy customers.
What got me about the carvings were the number of people stopping by to say hello and tell us what a great job we were doing.

| | Re: We had us a mini Rendezvous Were these spirits carved in live trees? If so, in your experience, Does the tree recover from this and live on?

| | Re: We had us a mini Rendezvous Yes the tree will live on the wound (Carving) will heal and over time it will engulf the carving almost completly but can be recovered again with very little problem. As long as you dont girdle the tree they recover quite nicley. Stay tuned for day two at ST wood lot.
