Default Two More

Yes, two more owls carved from a cedar log from Manatoulin Island that ST got from a native friend named " One More".
The first one was a gift to a friend recovering from a total shoulder replacement and it is unfinished as he wanted to do the detal work and use his own finish. The other is a gift to a neighbour that is having his "80th" birthday soon. I hope you like them.

A nice pair of hooters Bob!

I would call them Germanic Owls, the Germans carve them much like yours.

Thanks Dick,
I do look at the German forum quite a bit and I like the somewhat exagerated style of the Owl carvings there.
I have done a lot of detailed Owl carvings in the past and now that I am chainsaw sculpting, I am taking liberties with the art form.

HA! HA! HA!

Thanks for the kind words, as one of my early mentors always asked me if I had a fireplace.
