| | tip for holding a carving & moving big logs I use 3 = 1/8 inch spade bits you take a big log and hammer them in the log in a triangle , about 3 inches apart leave about 3 inches sticking out of the log then take a grinder and grind off the ends and make a point that will hold any size chainsaw carving.
and also for moving big logs I bought a shop engine pulling crane in sams club and torched off the stand , then mounted a trailer slide in square channel so all I need to do is slide it into my trucks ,female hole, and I can drive the crane to any log , lift the log up and move it any place without a tractor, also it will go 8 foot high so I can stand big lunker logs up by myself with no man helping me. what a blast |

I really enjoyed seeing your web pages. Love the totem poles you have carved.
Is it possible to see a picture of the crane that you improvised? It sounds like an excellent tool. Also, what kind of chainsaw(s) and tips do you use?
Glad to have you join us.
