Default Sunflower carvings

I saw some sunflowers carved from Ridgway and had to play with them. I made a self supporting base by removing the back half of the log to about 7" of the bottom. This will minimize checking by getting rid of the center of the tree thru most of the carving, then I kerfed the base to the center on the back. The half log that remained, really made a dynamic sculpture and is stable. Doc

Doc, as far as I can tell, those are some pretty nice sunflowers, but the photos are mighty small.

Doc,

That's a question whose only answer at this point is ... it depends <grin>.

As far as I know, the largest size that will post is 580 pixels high x 780 pixels wide (larger will automatically be downsized to those dimensions, I believe).

What size were your original pictures and do you have software to re-size them?
