Very nicely done Robbin. I like the simplicity of the silhouettes and nice touch with the paw prints. I also like the border/backing board. It gives the entire sign more depth. I don't think I would have thought of that. Excellent. What's the finish? I'll guess a spar varnish or urethane?

Hi Colin & Lundy, Colin, I felt that with just the Sillhouettes it need just a little bit more detail so talked to the commissioners & they were for it so this added a little more touch but I wanted to keep them subtle also & it is weird how they came out slightly more red. Lundy, The material I had was cut last year @ 3" thick x 6' length & to cover the huge frame there I needed at least another 6" of width & hieght so I got a few of the 3" cut down to 1 1/2" & added the border & the finish is first, epoxy then polyurethane enamel of the automotive type.
Thanks again, Robbin

Carved signs should be the only thing allowed on businesses and beside roads. Excellent sign and the commissioners must be happy with it!

By the way, did you say you used "Clearcoat" on the sign?

Hi Joggernot, Thanks for the comments & I have to agree that I feel they have much more life in them than the everyday signs, originallity!
