Awesome show....I saw it last night for the first time. The show I saw was when they were making a large set of eagles for a golf course and the young man (Ryan I think his name is) busted off the head of the large eagle and caused alot of drama. They ended up cutting the tail off as well and replaced both the head and the tail with a lighter color of wood which I happen to think looked much better. I have a feeling that they intended to do that in the first place and staged the whole thing in order to make for a dramatic episode. Just sayin'. Anyhow, I enjoyed the show and look forward to watching it much more. I would however like to see more instruction on the carvings. |

Colin, I understand what you are saying, however.... This is not going to be the next Survivor. They will have a limited run with a limited audience. The people who watch are interested in carving, or chainsaw carving, or at least interested in wood. I would not watch a carver at the fair if more than half his time was spent not carving. I'd like to see them extend the show to an hour, add thirty minutes of actual carving- that would be a better proportion IMO. |

I have now seen two episodes of the show called Saw Dogs. The carvings are truly fantastic. I love watching the creativity. I just wish they would show more carving and a lot less squabling and childish arguments. It is getting too much like my kids fighting in the other room. They seem to be trying to make it too dramatic, and they have lost the point of the show "Chain Saw Carving" Bill |

I thought Steve Blanchard looked familiar. He has a wonderful website: Tree forts, tree houses, wood sculpture, wood carving, wood spirits, fine woodworking, gnomes, hobbits Check it out. Amazing work! |

I have been fortunate enough to "know" or " know of" most of these guys for some time. Can you guess who was a regular poster here? Bob |

| There was none of the sensationalism or drama on Bob Vila's show during his 25 year run. I'll be surprised if Saw Dogs runs into a 3rd season unless they reduce the drama.
