Really Dead Yellow Pine

This will probably be my last carving down in the Panhandle of Florida for the 2009 season, as I have seen pictures to prove the snow has melted in Barrie and the Bruce Peninsula.
We are heading to Hudson on Thursday to visit friends, before we make the trek north.
This dead yellow pine was and still is home to some woodpeckers who watched from the tree nearby while this wood spirit emerged.
This was a small gift for the fellow that has let us carve all winter in his back 40 .

Hi Ya Bob, Spirits are looking good! We are sure going to miss ya here this weekend! Had an old compatriate of yours stop by yesterday, Ted Mackeenan (spelling?) says hi to you also & siad he wondered if you still wore the pants? Just teasing ya buddy!
