Default Neighbour down the street

wanted a woodspirit in a pine stump, so yesterday was his day.
The tree had been down since the spring, so it wasn't to "sappy".
I had to undercut the edges to get a good sized face and now that it has it's first coat of sikens on it , I think I will take a black spray can down and outline the edges of the face and mustache to make them stand out from the rest of the sculptors a bit more.

Thumbs up Re: Neighbour down the street

A lot of times a picture can be deceiving but he sure looks just great with just the sikkens. Looks just great in the garden! Excellent job!

He has lots of charactor in his face and really adds a lot to that wonderful garden spot. Fun to see.

Super job there Bob. I envy you carvers who live in rural areas as I can't practice with a chainsaw where I live...so I use large gouges and big mallets which takes longer.

Way to go Bob, that's a fine lookin spirit in what looks to be a beautiful garden, I'll just bet the little Mrs is in love with that piece. If yer ever in Dunnville, bring yer saw and you can have a ball chompin up a tree by the river while we fish a little.
