Default My first Chainsaw Horse

Having spent considerable time doing woodspirits and Bears with the chainsaw, it was a welcome change to get an order for a Horse.
Biggest problem I had was getting a piece of wood large enough to get the head out of one piece. I have used a piece of popular for my 1st attempt.
Now if I can get the fuzzies under control I will be happy with the piece.
I have put one coat of clear laquer on it and it is settling down nicely. Today I put a bit of a burn on parts of it and took a few pics.

Thanks for you favourable comments. I will you know how it goes in the drying stages. The lady from the ranch really likes it, so that is what matters.

Hey Bob,

Ive found with poplar the direction you sand helps out a lot with the fuzziness. We also use a small vibrating sander to help get rid of em as well...good luck!
