Looking for food in this economy

I thought you might like my most recent carving. This particular tree turned out to have several rotten spots so it make making the carving very difficult.

The bee hive is natural cypress wood.... The carving is not varnished yet. I am planning on using Cabots Spar Varnish Satin. I am sure the hive will change colors once I put the finish on it.

Another nice one. I don't envy you carving that one so close to the ground, but it turned out great.
I can't wait to get back up north for some good old Canadian hardwood to carve, I am getting tired of all this cypress and yellow pine down here in Florida.

The customer had already cut the tree. Lesson learned. but it still turned out ok.
