Thanks Merle and Christina The bee hive is natural cypress wood.... The carving is not varnished yet. I am planning on using Cabots Spar Varnish Satin. I am sure the hive will change colors once I put the finish on it. Greg |

Hi Greg, Another nice one. I don't envy you carving that one so close to the ground, but it turned out great. I can't wait to get back up north for some good old Canadian hardwood to carve, I am getting tired of all this cypress and yellow pine down here in Florida. Thanks for posting, Bob |

The customer had already cut the tree. Lesson learned. but it still turned out ok. Thanks for the good comments. |
