Default A Little Tree Stump at The Cove

Hi All,

Dropped by my new place at Sandy Cove and spied a tree stump that needed a little carving in it. It is on my new street at the Cove, so this is what I have so far.
A sentry owl on one side and a couple of bear cubs looking out the other.
I may carve a separate big bear and mount it on top, but that's next weeks work.
Thanks for looking.......

Bob

Might start the big Bear on Monday at the stump dump.
We could do an owl as well if you like.

and i was troubled by a half-dozen squirrels coming out of our tree !

beautiful work, Bob - always urging people to keep substantial tree stumps for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is having something artistic carved into it. years in the making, one rushed decision sweeps them away in a few minutes ...

BTW - stump dump ? is that a dump for bulk wood recycling ? never heard of such a thing and am curious what this is all about

The stump dump is a place where they store all the trees that are cut down in the park we live in. I have access to it for carving wood, so that is nice.
I am on my way to carve a bear today, if it doesn't rain, I should be well on my way to finishing it.

Thanks for looking..............

Put Mama bear out where I can see her! Finding cubs up here with no visible Mamma is asking for major, major trouble. Yup = Spring babies. Good.
