decided to try chainsaw carving. Mainly becouse my father said not to buy him anything for christmas so i decided to make him something. I have been cutting firewood lately,and had some logs around.
Each one got a little better than the last. Let me know what you think.

Never mind the carving, I am totaly impressed that on your first post you were able to attach a picture !! I am still trying to figure out that trick. Enjoy carving, it's a great hobby.

the other photo was my 2nd this is my 1st attempt and 3rd
I am working on 4 an5 right now. I have done one every weekend for the last 4 weeks in a row.
Dave you probably need t resize your pictures i had to resize them 2 times to get them small enough. And add one picrture at a time. thats how it worked for me.
Rob thats a good point, I usually have the print on the screen as large as possible (hate wearing glasses), I will give that I try. BTY nice work on the carvings.
I just started recently also. It is very addicting and fun isnt it. I've already found that with each one your confidence level increases. At first I was afraid to cut too much here and there for fear of screwing it up. On my 5th one now. Keep up the good job.
