Default Just one more woodspirit stump carving

Hi gang just liked the way this one turned out thought I would share it with you woodspirit people. Eastern white cedar short but thick about a fourteen inch log or better and about just over two feet high.

Way cool Collin! Just curious....What do you use to handle a large carving like that. I don't have a farm hand available so every thing gets moved by troll hand. I'm putting a 3" angle iron frame up to hoist my stumps up to work surface and onto my pickup bed when it goes to a new home

Elwood I dont use anything but my body strength and sometimes I recruit my young neighbor to help me lift it. At 66 years of age I am getting weaker and cant lift what I used to but I keep on going. I would really love to have a back hoe or a Bob Cat but they are way too expensive.

Colin,
Another great woodspirit. If I saw it beside the road I would know it was yours. Hey, I have a question. Since I am dabbleing with chainsaw carving now, what's this about canola oil?
