I don’t carve many bears I am more into carving gators and people. I carved this bear holding our country’s flag looking up with just a little pride on his face. He is white oak and just under 7 feet tall the tools I used 80% saw 20% grinder and I have just over 20 hours in it. I spend more time working on a bears head it must be right the rest I just try to get the proportions correct.

Great looking bear Don. Is he the one you posted the block-out on in an earlier thread? He turned out darn well and a good practical idea as well. Joe.
