Sorry Ron I should explain these greenmen faces one on either side of the tree. The one side has the rounded oak leaves for his hair mostache and his beard is very curly. On different parts of the face I have put a few acorns and painted them green and brown. The other side is a much larger carving with the pointed oak leaves. Even the eyebrows and eye lashes are oak leaves. The left eye finally stopped leaking after a coat of sealer and two coats of stain. Good job it did it freeked the customer out. The second carving has large oak leafs for his beard mostache and hair.the back side carving is about eight feet tall the front about four feet. I know you guys can see the pictures but Ron cant so I usually do this for him because he was sighted at one time and can get the visual picture.

Great addition to any garden, unique art!

Bigger leaves make for easier carving, lessons learnt with every carving.

I once had a blind lady visit me when I was carving a giant owl bench, I guided her hands over the textures and shapes and explained what I was trying to portray while she sat upon it, a whole different aspect and understanding for both of us.

In a minds eye.

It turned out fantastic. My favorite detailing is the way you handled the deep cut leaves and added the little acorns.
So now you've expanded your themes again! I'll not ever forget the little angel you did, so again, I'm delighted to see another new dimension to Colin Partridge!
