| | first chainsaw carvings This is my first chainsaw carving post. Just getting started in chainsaw carving. Really enjoy it and hope to continue with other projects as time permits. Any help from the vets would be appreciated. Really like Colin's woodspirits and hope to try some in the future. This is a tree I got an idea for from off the internet. Any comments would be welcomed.
Thanks

| | Re: first chainsaw carvings Great job on the tree.... advice? Keep carving, do 5 or 6 of the same thing then move on to something different. Each time you do something different you will learn something new.
Why do the same thing 5 times? Each time you get better and faster with more confidence.
Thanks for sharing your carving with us!

| | Re: first chainsaw carvings Brian great job on the tree really good for your first try. When I saw it I had an idea. What I saw was a tree but next time do exactly the same but turn the top part into a face with a hat on would make for an interesting carving. Just goes to show you every one can learn from every one. My next one is going to be a tree man with the face and the rest of the carving done in leaves. Thanks for the inspiration

| | Re: first chainsaw carvings Looks good brian!
I liked the idea colin had about adding a face, that could be another cool variation. Keep up the good work! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
