First chainsaw carving-Native American I thought I'd post my husband's Native American in progress. The upper half is done except for tweaking. The lower half will be buckskin pants and moccassins and standing on a bit of stump.
It's his first try at a chainsaw carving. We don't have the proper equipment but he's using an electric chainsaw, a grinder and a dremel.
He started with a six and a half chunk of red oak, which was an adventure in itself to get it out of the woods and into our shop.
He's a carpenter by trade, but things have been slow this winter and we both took up carving to preserve our sanity.
He's anxious to visit the Rendevous and maybe pick up some pointers.
