Nice job Thor, I have been so busy that I have just about fallen off the end of the earth. I am glad that you are sticking with the carving. This project is excellent and you should be very proud.

Thanks so much all of you. It takes me awhile to recuperate from a day of chainsaw carving enough to do it again. I'll try to do some more "Garden Crones" as well.
She does get a lot of attention in the garden.

Thumbs up Re: first chainsaw carving of my own design

Geeeezzze Funky Chicken, I think that is the first time you have ever tried anything in the round? It is really cool. I could never do that, not only not creative enough, but not strong enough to handle the saw.
Great job Christina. How is the ranch surviving?

Thor,
Very nice indeed! Original, rustic, and one of those pieces that draw you to it for the second, third and more looks. Just one of those things you want to keep looking at.

That is a great carving. Is it true that this is a first "in the round" You've convinced me to paint my CS carvings I love the way it turned out. As far as the cracks and splits are concerned,... I finally quit having a heart attack every time a crack appears. If it's green and it don't split.... must be a phony
