Default Eagle Stump Carving

I started this one on Wednesday I just got the first coat of finish on this afternoon.

The customer is happy with it, the wood was maple it holds detail nicely.

Of course the plunger in the oiler on my echo stripped yesterday while carving, I am glad I set all my saws up with rim and drum drive I was able to put my dime bar on my husky and keep going.

It is the second time I have had this happen, the echo pump is aluminum and I think it gets hotter baking the canola oil in the pump over time. I am going to start taking the pumps apart and cleaning them once a month.

My huskys never have this problem or the poulon pro saw I have.

Nice job on the eagles looks like a really nice setting. I dont own an echo so I dont have that problem. I use Canola in all my saws now and I have never had a problem. the only thing I notice is that the Canola cakes onto the parts of the saw more than ordinary bar oil but if you clean your saws after use then it doesnt seem to be a problem.

Wow--that is an amazing carving. The turned heads, the alert pose, and love the fish.

I like the way you had to add back simulated woodgrain to a tree stump!

Lovely work.
