Hi Alice, Tim,
I won,t say how many years it is that I have been carving and I thought that I knew all the tricks, but this homemade flapper wheel is the greatest idea that I have come across, especially for my type of delicate carving. At present I am moving to a small village so will be in limbo for a while but can't wait to try one. Thanks
Louis

I agree, it looks like it has a lot of promise. On another note, wheres this small village your heading to? I have a mental image of a thatched roof and beachfront carving...is that paradise an accurate guess?

Almost right but the thatched roof is a heritage house and not for sale. The village is called Bathurst on the sunshine coast. Close toa medium sized town which has fifty wood workers who hold a crafters market once a month. Bathurst has a small artists colony two hotels and restuarants and two art galleries as it is a tourist destination twice a year. Incidently I have been to New Jersey, stayed in a beach cottage on a river.
Regards BOB

I just put the orange cover over the chain and toss them where ever I can fit them.
