Default Carving In Florida

Hi All,
I am starting to enjoy the warmer weather and doing a little more carving.
ST is doing some fish and I am stuck on this deep relief carving that started out to be and eagle and a blue heron and has ended up being a ????????
I think I am going for a Gull and a Pelican, maybe.
At least it is getting warm now, maybe my carving will improve as well.

Bob

PS..the woodspirit is carved into a Palm tree butt, really soft for the RedMax

Carvings lookin good guys, to bad it's been cold down there, it's been so balmy here, you really should load up and come back. Probably Robin and Colin could use some help.

Thanks Cliff,
But , I didn't pack my thermals for the trip home right now. I have seen some pictures of my driveway in Barrie and you won't get me up there for a long while yet.
How's your Wheecer working for you now???
I have tried one before and I liked it, but it was a bit small for the stuff I am doing right now.
I hope to tackle an eagle next, maybe not as elaborate as Jeff's , but an eagle never the less. I may have to wait for a while , because my grandkids will be here tomorrow some time.

Thanks for the nice reply,
Bob

Bob, I can imagine what your drive way looks like if it hasn't been shoveled I'm lucky my neighbor comes over with the tractor and clears us as soon as the snows done. The Wecheer works great for me, thanks to Robin for suggesting it. Enjoy the grand kids.

Hi Bob, Like they say "Ya never know what is hiding in that piece of wood?" Maybe it was a seagull & a Pelican all the time & you been trying to get an Eagle & a Heron out of it? Lookin good either way though buddy!
Thanks, Robbin

Now I can see why some of us Canadians go down South. Its winter weather on the east coast here in NS so I'm envious to view those carvings with you in a short sleeve shirt. Carvings look great. Enjoy the sun.

Thanks guys,
I found this year that all those years of pretending to like the cold because I was a Canadian and that was what we did is a bunch of hogwash now that I have been in the sun for a month and a half. I do miss the ice fishing though, but now I just clink the ice in my glass a bit more.
Carving is nice in short sleeves as well.

thanks again,
bob
