I really like my NSK. Great for detailing on birds.

They are both top of the line units..... I have the 1050 and it's great. I really think the answer to this question depends a lot on who you ask. I haven't heard anything bad about either unit. Everyone who has them, loves them. You are pretty safe no matter which one you pick. To help you decide between them, research their different features. If one has something you really like, that the other one doesn't have....you have your answer. The one thing that really stands out for me is this....if I have a problem with my 1050 (and I have not had any problems) I can call up Foredom on the telephone. They are great folks to deal with. They service their product and get it back to you pretty quickly. I have a couple of 10 year old Foredom handpieces that need bearings every 5 or 6 years..... I send them up to Bethel, Conn and they fix it and send it back. None of these units are cheap to repair though.... bearings and brushes cost me $90 plus shipping the handpiece back. I can't think it would be any cheaper for NSK but maybe someone on here can enlighten us. But for quality, they are about the same. |
