Default rubies

Is there a good way to clean gunk off ruby bits...diamonds etc. Seems to be getting a bit clogged up on my little poker bit, but I don't want to damage the abrasive.

I have a film canister full of oven cleaner that I drop them in overnight...it gets all that gunk off.

I'm sure that Bob D works in an overnight situation, for a quick fix try a block used for cleaning belt sanders not perfect but, helps to get the gunk off the bits.
