Hi, I am sort of trying to get set up for power carving. Have an older model Foredom flex shaft which I am up dating with new shaft, brushes etc. I am a left hander, so would like a reversing feature which is not present on the machine I have. HAS ANY ONE CREATED, USED, OR MADE AN EXTERNAL REVERSING SWITCH FOR A FOREDOM MACHINE???. HELP PLEASE!!!!!! HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DO THIS WITH A DREMEL TOOL THOUGH.. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ANSWERS. Bob V |

Good question Bob, however your best bet is to contact Foredom Service Dept. they can answer any questions you have about their units. Oscar |

Bob V, I'm left handed also (aren't we lucky?!!) and haven't had any problem with my Foredom that I've had for 25 years. No reverse on it. I would suggest that you give it a whirl and just adapt as you have been doing for years because you are left handed. I use a micro-motor now (CarvingMaster) and love it. I still use the Foredom to get rid of the major extraneous wood with 80 grit sandpaper tubes that fit on a mandril. Good luck. Dick
