hello all, Is there any difference in performance and uses of a single flute, double flute and crosscut flute? I am lefthanded and will carve in reverse for detail, but right handed for roughing out...go figure, that is just how my brain and body operates... ![]() Frank in NJ

Good question! Since you'e using the tool in both hands, if would be best if your rotary tool can reverse. If it can reverse, then you need to make sure the burrs can be used in both directions. I would think most of the fluted ones can not be used in both directions. The burrs such as SaberTooth and Kutzall (structured carbide) can cut in either direction.
