Default Pops at Chipping Away

Hey gang, did I get a surprise this morning. I had a problem with my new Wecheer carver yesterday (it flew apart). Well I emailed the company and am still waiting to hear from them. Someone on here suggested I get in touch with Pops. Now this machine was bought for my birthday in the US by my son in law that lives there, I really didn't think Pops would help me, I was wrong. I emailed him last nite (after business hours) and when I turned the old computer on this morning, there was a message from him, "sure. would be glad to replace it at no charge". He said he'd send me one but being as he is only 70 miles away, I'm gonna take a drive up there this morning and probably by something else just to show my appreciation.

Hi Cliff,
I have always had good luck talking to Pop . One time I was having a problem with my ArborTech wearing out the ends of the chisels. I wasn't lubing it enough and working to long between rests, and he just replaced the 2 chisels for me and told me what I was doing wrong. You always buy from a guy like that. Great tips, service and a lot of product to choose from.

Bob
PS...say hi to pop for me, I will have to stop by on the way home from here in April

Cliff I agree Dennis is only to willing to help. When I need tools I contact him and he has them in the mail the same day and I usually have them in two days. Great service and a good selection of tools. Say hello to Pops for me tell him I send my regards.

Thumbs up Re: Pops at Chipping Away

I just e-mailed him last week and he was quick to respond. He's great to work with.

Well gang, I'm happy to say, the wife and I drove up to his shop today with the Wecheer under my arm, danged if he wasn't out to lunch and I never got to see him. However, his man Friday, took me in the back room and showed me how to install a new inner cable and sent me on my way (no charge). I'm really happy with how Pops had me looked after. I have bought a lot of tools from him previously and have always been well satisfied with the service. Point of interest, I still haven't heard a word from the Wecheer company.

Hey Cliff, I totally agree with you. The gang over at Chipping Away are a great bunch to deal with. Always willing to go above and beyond with their customers. I wish there were more businesses like them.

P.S. Did you have to bring all that cold weather up here with you!

SusieQ, you can't miss with them and your dollars are always good in Canada these days, they show both Canadian and US dollar prices on their web pages.
