I'm getting warmed up to the idea of a micro carver and was just about to pull the trigger on the Ram 45. When along comes this Mastercarver combo. I usually opt for the 1 tool, 1 job program. My experience has been on combo tools neither one is as good as two separate tools. However, there's always an exception. Could this be it? Who has tried this product? At 50K rpm on the carver it would seem to be awesome. What do you all think? Thanks, Ron |

I do not have the combination tool, I do have the Micro Carver. It is an excellent, high quality tool that has given me good service. If you call and talk to them I am sure you will be reassured. They are quite knowledgable. I figured it was another tool that was rebranded. I think a bunch of the micro's all come out of the same factory and are rebranded. They told me these are manufactured for them and it is their design. All I can say is that I have been very happy with mine. BobT |

I was checking into the same combo on eBay. I had initially decided to buy a mastercarver burner, then did what you did and stumbled across the combo. For me I'm simply waiting for the $$ to purchase one. I figured for the price on eBay, I'm getting a single unit burner for free when I purchase the micro carver.

I have that unit and I LOVE it! I also have a RAM 45 and a Colewood woodburner, both absolutely great tools....I couldn't be without either, so I started looking at back up units (I have to order everything in, didn't want down time if something didn't work!). I did some research, and since I love my Mastercarver rotary system, I thought I'd try the combo unit. Since I got it (a couple years ago), I haven't used either the Colewood or RAM 45. It's so convenient, switching between microcarving and woodburning with the flip of a switch....it's awesome!!! I recommend it very, very highly! Deborah
